I was born and raised in New Hampshire. I’ve had a bit of a tough start with many emotional and physical challenges most of my young life. I left home before I finished high school and this gave me many life lessons on how to survive and how life really works. Daily, I was able to gain wisdom and strength to survive.
I met my husband during this time and he became my rock to help me develop into who I am today. We married in 1986 and after having three children, I decided it was time for me to start to make time for me. Even though I was still struggling with many emotional and physical issues, I went to back to school to get my GED. I then went to the local community college and took college prep courses, and then enrolled in their Exercise Science program.
While in school, I took care of my children, worked part-time, and learned how to take care of myself. I suffered long thoracic nerve damage from a surgical procedure to try to correct a pinched nerve in my arm. This “tragedy” changed the direction of my life—it became an amazing journey of self-discovery and self-healing.
I have my own healing arts practice in Bedford NH, along with many other holistic practitioners. I am blessed every day with the opportunity to continue to learn not only from my clients but also from the people I work with.
Along with writing my Body Within Healing Series, I want to share my knowledge of how the body heals with other practitioners in the future, so I am creating workshops and online classes that will be available soon. I’ve enjoyed a successful marriage for 30 years (and counting!) with three amazing children and two precious grandsons. Besides my work and my family, I love photography, gardening, and writing.
As I continue to discover and live my life’s purpose, I hope to educate and reach those looking to gain better health. We are at a critical point within the healthcare community, our population is aging and striving to maintain their independence. I seek to empower others to gain control of their health, teaching that we have a choice to live a healthy life, leading to a peaceful death.
You never know how strong you are until you are faced with challenges that clearly define the direction your life is heading.
I hope my message helps you define a clearer direction for your life and to know that as long as you are in a position to choose your destiny, the possibilities are endless.
